How to best care for your cloth pads

Store until ready to wash
Always allow constant airflow to your used cloth pads storage to avoid bacteria forming. If you do not wish to wash your pads straight away, you can certainly wait a few days. Make sure your pads are exposed to air.

Pre-wash
If you are planning to wash your cloth pads without sodium percarbonate then you will have to make sure they are stain free before you put them in your washing machine. Do not forget to always wash blood stains in cold water. Once they are stain free you can chuck them in the wash with the rest of your laundry.

Wash
Use sodium percarbonate for best results but make sure you wash on hot (at least 50degrees celsius). You don't need to pre-wash your pads and feel free to wash them along with your towels or bedding. They will not stain as the oxygen bleach will get rid of the stains for you.

Air Dry
Do not tumble dry your reusable period cloth pads as they would loose their absorbent super power. Try to line dry your Lilahpads in a sunny spot as much as you can. This will ensure your reusable cloth pads are sparkling clean. They will get more absorbent the more you wash them.
